Minnesota Vikings land top offensive player in new 2026 NFL Mock Draft

The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh next April, a city where the Bucs found success this preseason with a last-second field goal to defeat the Steelers. Before next April, though, there will be plenty of speculation and buildup for the team and who they may add to the roster through the draft. The Athletic’s Dane Brugler recently released the latest 2026 NFL mock draft of the cycle. Within it, the Vikings were attached to star running back and potential Heisman Trophy finalist, Jeremiyah Love. His year at Notre Dame in 2025 has allowed him to separate himself from the rest of the running backs in this class by several tiers.Brugler explains the pick, writing, “Like (Caleb) Downs, Love is one of the best players in the draft, but positional value will limit his landing spots in the top half of Round 1. Here, that just means the Vikings get value by adding the draft’s most explosive offensive weapon — a versatile back who’d help both the run and pass games.”The Vikings will need to figure out the quarterback situation sooner rather than later. At the very least, having a running game you can lean back on with Love would be a nice ace to have up your sleeve.
