Bill Belichick named finalist for rare NFL honor

There’s no denying that 2025 proved an extremely disappointing, college football season for the North Carolina Tar Heels.UNC, a historically mediocre program, hired 8-time Super Bowl Champion head coach Bill Belichick in hopes in reaching greater heights. Instead, North Carolina suffered through a 4-8 campaign filled with off-field drama, none other than with Belichick’s girlfriend: Jordon Hudson.Belichick’s time in the NFL earned him the coveted “GOAT” moniker. Belichick now has the chance to earn another accolade to his storied NFL career, recently earning himself one of five finalist nominations for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.Belichick, the lone coaching finalist, is joined by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft (Contributor), Ken Anderson, Roger Craig and L.C. Greenwood (Seniors)Earlier this year, Belichick and Kraft disagreed about Belichick’s exit from New England. Belichick rose to prominence coaching in New England, though, winning six additional Super Bowls with Tom Brady.Now trying his hand in the collegiate coaching game, Belichick has his work cut out for him in Year Two. UNC signed a pretty strong 2026 recruiting class, while Belichick needs to address expected departures in the transfer portal.Will Belichick be able to add another chapter to his storied coaching legacy?
