Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns: 3 reasons for optimism in Week 14

The Tennessee Titans (1-11) are traveling to Cleveland to face a similarly struggling Browns (3-9) team. The Titans will be anxious to bounce back against the Browns after a massively disappointing game last week. Cam Ward especially did not pop as he had in previous weeks. This week, superstar Browns defensive end Myles Garrett will be bearing down on Ward. Here are three reasons for optimism for the Titans against the Browns.Shedeur and the passing offenseThe big offensive problem for the Browns this season has been the extremely muddy QB room. Since the start of the season, there hasn’t been a firm answer. Three different quarterbacks have been cycled through this offense, with potentially a fourth waiting in the wings. For now, Shedeur has been the starter, and he has not lived up to his pre-draft hype. He has a solid surrounding cast, better than the Titans, but he just hasn’t taken advantage. The talent is there to be solid, but the game needs to slow down for Shedeur. For now, the Titans need to go after him. Dennard Wilson needs to be unloading whatever he has to rush Shedeur into mistakes.Special teamsA clear advantage that the Titans have is in the kick return game. The Browns have allowed three kick return touchdowns this season. Chimere Dike has been threatening in the return game week by week since the regular season started. With the Browns’ leaky return defense, this is a mouthwatering opportunity for Dike. It would be no surprise to see the Browns allow another one to such an explosive returner.Cam Ward’s resiliencyNow, this was a disappointing previous week for the Titans and Cam Ward. There were some positives, but Ward most certainly must do better this week. One thing he has been great at in his career is bouncing back from rougher performances. Willing a subpar supporting cast to overachieve has been his big accomplishment this season. It would not be shocking to see him do it again. This article originally appeared on Titans Wire: Tennessee Titans vs. Browns: 3 reasons for optimism in Week 14
