Chris Henry Jr. announced on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday morning that he will stick with his commitment to Ohio State University and sign with the Buckeyes.He is ranked as the top wide receiver recruit in the nation by 247Sports and the son of the late Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry. His father spent parts of five seasons with the Bengals, appearing in 55 games and totaling 1,826 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns in his career.Henry Jr. spent his freshman season at West Clermont and his sophomore season at Withrow before transferring to Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California. While at Withrow, he set school records with 1,127 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the Tigers to their first ever Division II regional final.Henry Jr. raised some eyebrows when he posted on X on Wednesday afternoon that he had not yet signed his paperwork, still mulling his options after it was announced that OSU offensive coordinator and receivers coach Brian Hartline had left to take the head coaching job at South Florida.He verbally committed to OSU on July 28, 2023 but had received heavy attention from the likes of Oregon and Southern California.When he gets to Columbus, he will join his older sister, Seini, who is a redshirt freshman on the women’s basketball team.
