Bengals hype keeps building ahead of showdown with Bills

The Cincinnati Bengals, if nothing else, have the attention of the NFL world down the stretch with Joe Burrow back in the fold. Thanks to a so-so AFC and a bad AFC North, Burrow was able to get back earlier than most expected from Grade 3 turf toe surgery and give the team a fighting shot at the playoffs. Across all of his media appearances over the past week, former NFL head coach Bruce Arians keeps hyping this idea, too. Appearing on Rich Eisen’s show, Arians said that one player can indeed change, for example, the confidence an entire defense plays with each week. Now, he sees big things in the future for the Bengals. “I’m going to say it again, just watch out for the Bengals,” Arians said. “With Joey B coming back, they’re going to get on a run and win the North. They can go on the road and score points against anybody…if they can get past the Bills, they’ve got maybe the easiest schedule going out.”RELATED: Former NFL head coach thinks Bengals could win out, make playoffsBurow’s defense indeed looked better during his return and win over Baltimore last week. His comeback aligned with the younger unit being able to expand its concepts as rookies in key spots continue to develop. Perhaps more importantly, Burrow returned to one of the better offensive lines he’s ever enjoyed in Cincinnati. That, in turn, has spurred on one of the more effective ground games since he’s been in town, too. The Bengals probably need to win out to make the playoffs, but if former NFL head coaches see the vision, fans certainly aren’t in the wrong for hoping for it, too.RELATED: Bengals listed as ideal landing spot for…Mike Tomlin? This article originally appeared on Bengals Wire: Bengals hype keeps building ahead of showdown with Bills
