Tyrod Taylor injured early vs. Miami Dolphins, Brady Cook debuts

The Miami Dolphins have knocked New York Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor out of the game amid an early onslaught at MetLife Stadium.Taylor exited the game and went to the locker room with the Jets trailing the Dolphins21-0 in the first quarter. Rookie quarterback Brady Cook entered the game to make his NFL debut on the Jets’ third offensive drive.The CBS broadcast announced Taylor was dealing with a groin injury. He is considered questionable to return.Taylor threw an interception on the Jets’ second offensive possession, which the Dolphins cashed in with a 2-yard Jaylen Wright rushing touchdown. Cook is a rookie quarterback from Missouri who was undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. He has been on the Jets’ practice squad for much of the season but was signed to the active roster on Dec. 6 to help New York solidify its quarterback depth.
