The Atlanta Falcons claimed former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Malik Heath off waivers on Monday. Heath, who was released by the Packers to make room for Jayden Reed on the 53-man roster on Saturday, played in 11 games in 2025 and 37 games overall for the Packers over the last three seasons. Heath, an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss, caught 31 of his 44 targets for 308 yards and three touchdowns while with the Packers. He played 636 snaps on offense and another 156 on special teams over three seasons in Green Bay. This season, Heath made an impressive 37-yard catch during the Packers’ win over the Washington Commanders in Week 2 and hauled in a season-high three passes during the Packers’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8. Heath was also left in Green Bay due to a coach’s decision when the Packers went to New York and beat the Giants in Week 11. While a go-to blocker for the Packers at receiver, Heath got squeezed out by the return of Christian Watson and Jayden Reed from injuries. Watson made his season debut in Week 8, while Reed returned after missing 11 weeks on injured reserve.
