CBB: Northern Arizona/Stanford Prediction
We are headed to Maples Pavilion tonight for an early season matchup between Northern Arizona and Stanford.
Both teams are 2-0 so far this season but don’t let that fool you tonight. Stanford is obviously the bigger and better program. Both of NAU’s first two games were against non Division 1 teams. Stanford played actual Division 1 programs in both it’s first two games. Easily dismantling both Denver and CSUF. I think Stanford starts the season 3-0 and in another blowout fashion.
Most boxes can be checked for Stanford when it comes to advantages between the two teams. I’m really only worried about a back door cover in this spot. I think we see Stanford come out at a high pace and run NAU out of the gym or atleast into a large early deficit. Perimeter shooting is looking strong this season for Stanford and you can expect a barrage of threes tonight against a small NAU front court.
I like Stanford tonight and their offense to go nuclear against a lowly NAU squad.
