Kansas sports bettors rejoice! Legalized wagering has been available in the state since last September. Nine sportsbooks are available in Kansas: FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, Barstool Sportsbook, PointsBet, Bally Bet, FOX Bet and Golden Nugget Sportsbook.

- September 1, 2022 — Sports betting is officially live in Kansas as of noon CST. Also, the Kansas City Chiefs and BetMGM Sportsbook announced a partnership shortly before sports betting launched in the state. Under the partnership, the Chiefs will have BetMGM signage around Arrowhead Stadium and feature its branded betting content across their digital channels.
- August 22, 2022 — The Kansas Lottery resubmitted revised sports betting rules and regulations after the Kansas Attorney General Office raised public concerns. The concerns range from advertising restrictions to the Lottery’s definitions of “vulnerable persons” and “sports governing body.” However, a spokesperson with the Kansas Lottery has said any potential issues will be worked out in time for the scheduled Sept. 1 soft launch.
- August 18, 2022 — Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly announced that Kansas will go live with a sports betting “soft launch” on Sept. 1 at noon. In a news release, state officials indicated that the full-scale launch would happen one week later (Sept. 8).
