Unfortunately sporting events aren’t scripted and although I had little expectation Edinburgh would win at Lions on Saturday I wasn’t expecting to have to revisit the trauma of our last visit to Johannesburg. The whole debacle can be summed up by Lions’ try in the 54th minute that started with Magnus Bradbury prevaricating over the ball five metres from the hosts’ try line. A foot in touch gave Edinburgh a lineout but we messed that up too and Lions picked up their sixth try a few seconds later.
