Fairbanks is a popular name in the relief market, and it’s very deserving. In 2025, Fairbanks posted a 2.83 ERA with 27 saves, putting him in a great spot entering free agency.The 32-year-old closer has struggled with injuries in the past, but the last few seasons have been full of health and success. The walk rate has started to stabilize, but his strikeout rate has dropped compared to previous seasons. Still, Fairbanks would be an excellent addition to Arizona’s bullpen.The Diamondbacks struggled to find a reliable back-end help due to injuries sustained in 2025, so Fairbanks would give the team an identity.
