The Seattle Seahawks have a rematch of last year with the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. In 2024, the Seahawks went to Atlanta and torched the Falcons 34-14. Now, Seattle is on the verge of their second-straight 10-win season, while the Falcons are flailing. Atlanta is a semi-common opponent for the Seahawks, but there is still plenty to learn about them. We spoke with Matt Urben of Falcons Wire to get a better idea of the type of team Seattle is facing. Our questions and Urben’s answers are listed below:No. 1 – How has this Falcons offense operated with Kirk Cousins back in the saddle? The offense has been just average with Cousins under center. He still doesn’t look like the same player he was in the first half of the 2024 season. Cousins has gone 1-2 in three starts against the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets. The team is still abysmal on third down and lacks the big plays we saw with Michael Penix Jr. under center. Cousins has looked a little better in each start, but not having No. 1 wide receiver Drake London has hurt.No. 2 – Do you think there’s any chance Raheem Morris is on the hot seat?Raheem Morris is very much on the hot seat as the team has regressed in terms of its win total. The Falcons are on track for their eighth consecutive losing season, However, the defense has made some impressive strides, especially the team’s rookie class. To Morris’ credit, he still seems to have the respect of the locker room. Unless the Falcons go on a major run, though, Morris could be out after the season.No. 3 – Who is a non-household name Falcon the 12th Man should be aware of?Brandon Dorlus is a former fourth-round pick who barely played as a rookie last season. Fans were initially surprised when he was listed as a Week 1 starter on the depth chart, but Dorlus is having a breakout campaign. The former Oregon Ducks standout has a team-leading six sacks this season. His versatility and pass-rushing ability have helped him thrive in Jeff Ulbrich’s scheme.No. 4 – The Falcons upset the Seahawks if….If the defense gets pressure on Sam Darnold and forces turnovers, the Falcons will have a chance on Sunday. Atlanta was able to defeat the Buffalo Bills with a dominant defensive performance in Week 6 and I think it will take a similar effort to upset this talented Seahawks team. Offensively, the Falcons will need to lean heavily on Bijan Robinson. The former top-10 pick racked up nearly 200 yards of offense in last week’s loss to the Jets.No. 5 – Who wins and why?Seattle will win Sunday’s game because they are the better all-around team. The Falcons are banged up on offense, and even if their defense plays well, I don’t know if Kirk Cousins and Co. can put up enough points to get the victory. I predict the Falcons will get off to a good start in the first quarter but the Seahawks defense will be too physical for Atlanta over the course of the game. I think Seattle wins by a final score of 24-20.This article originally appeared on Seahawks Wire: Seahawks vs Falcons: Behind Enemy Lines with Falcons Wire for Week 14
