The veteran tight end has been one of the most productive and durable players for Washington this season, compiling 49 receptions for 493 yards and four touchdowns. He also recently moved into fifth place on the NFL’s all-time receptions list for tight ends with 825 career catches. His loss leaves a significant void in the Commanders’ offense, removing one of the team’s veteran leaders and key offensive weapons.The Commanders now face a difficult path forward as they navigate the remainder of the season without one of their most experienced offensive players. Ertz’s absence will force adjustments at tight end and on the offensive line, while Daniels’ injury history continues to be a concern.
