But while it knocked them down the rankings, it didn’t knock them out.The Panthers have collected nine straight wins to work their way back to the fringe of the Top 10 – and they’ll get there if they can handle the Indians and then pull an upset against the No. 10/SN No. 6 Allen [TX] Eagles next week. Allen knocked the defending Class 6A Division I state champion North Crowley [Fort Worth, TX] Panthers out of the playoffs Friday night in a 33-21 decision.Waxahachie, on the other hand, is looking to secure its own spot in the Top 25. They are currently ranked No. 16 in the Massey Ratings, the only list that is part of The Sporting News Composite Rankings to feature the Indians just one week out from the state semifinals.
