The Eagles are 8-4 and looking to end a two-game losing streak. They’ll need a strong performance without All-Pros Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter. This week, Carter had a non-surgical procedure on both shoulders. The All-Pro defensive tackle will be week-to-week down the stretch.During his Wednesday press conference, Eagles’ defensive coordinator Vic Fangio confirmed that the shoulder injury that kept Carter out of some off-season workouts and parts of training camp is still giving him problems entering Week 14. It appears Carter was managing the pain while playing through it.Carter played 1068 snaps last season, the most in the NFL by an interior defensive lineman.Safety Marcus Epps and rookie offensive tackle Myles Hinton have been listed as questionable for the matchup. Carter has also logged two passes defended in three of his past four contests.Overall, the third-year All-Pro defensive tackle has 32 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, along with six defensed passes on the campaign, and will take the next four or five weeks to get healthy for the playoffs. Johnson was initially diagnosed with a Lisfranc injury, and the thought was that the Eagles’ star right tackle could miss 4-6 weeks. Jeff McLane of The Inquirer reports that Johnson could return in less than 4 weeks, which explains why Philadelphia didn’t place him on injured reserve. Entering Week 11, Johnson is one of only two NFL tackles with a 0.0% knockdown percentage (0 sacks, 0 QB hits allowed), joining Tytus Howard. This article originally appeared on Eagles Wire: Jalen Carter and Lane Johnson ruled out for critical game vs. Chargers
