The battle for the USA TODAY Sports Super 25 national championship is coming down to a pair of Georgia powers.With Carrollton’s (Ga.) 48-21 win over North Gwinnett (Ga.) in a lopsided game, the undefeated Trojans moved up to No. 2 in the Super 25 national rankings, with just one game left on the schedule: the GHSA 6A championship against No. 1 Buford (Ga.), which will serve as a de facto national championship.This was the only shift in the top 10, as Buford’s 39-7 win over Valdosta kept the Wolves at No. 1.Outside the top half, Basha (Chandler, Ariz.) rose five spots after finishing its season on a dominant run. The Bears handed Liberty (Peoria, Ariz.) its first loss to an in-state opponent in three years, then outclassed Chandler (Ariz.) in the Open Division championship.Meanwhile, Northwestern (Miami, Fla.) gained a spot after scoring 50 points in back-to-back games and is one game away from a Florida championship.And Duncanville (Texas) atoned for its early-season loss to Waxahachie (Texas) by winning the playoff rematch, and will now play No. 12 Allen (Texas) in the semifinals.As the high school football season winds down, here is the full Super 25.1.
