Geir Olsen/NTB/dpaEinar Hedegart claimed his maiden World Cup win and led Norway to another dominant cross-country race on home snow in Trondheim on Sunday – without even realizing.Hedegart won the men’s 10-kilometre individual, four tenths of a second ahead of team-mate Andreas Fjorden Ree. Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget was third.Hedegart, 24, said: “I can’t believe it, I really didn’t think this race was going to be a first place, I thought it would be a middling race.”I was a little bit disappointed when I crossed the finish line and then it turns out to be my best race.”Fourth to seventh also went to the Norwegian team, with cross-country star Johannes Høsflot Klæbo surprisingly the last of them.Klæbo failed to complete a hat-trick of wins in Trondheim after winning the sprint on Friday and the 20km skiathlon on Saturday.Ebba Andersson led a one-two for Sweden to win the women’s 10-kilometre individual race.Six-time world champion Andersson beat team-mate Moa Ilar by two seconds to claim her first World Cup victory of the season.Title holder Jessie Diggins of the United States was third after winning the 20km skiathlon on Saturday.The Swedish team have dominated the women’s World Cup so far, winning four of six races with four different skiers.Slovenian ski jumper Domen Prevc made it two wins from two on the large hill in Wisla, Poland. He had held sway on Saturday and repeated the trick on Sunday to edge out Olympic champion Ryōyū Kobayashi by just 0.9 points.Prevc had jumped a massive 137 metres first up but the Japanese picked up more points for style. The Slovenian would not be denied, however, and another top jump of 132m gave him victory.Germany’s Philipp Raimund was third as he switched places with Kobayashi from Saturday.World Cup champion Daniel Tschofenig’s tough start to the season continued with a 13th place as he struggles in the build-up to his Four Hills defence at the end of the month.In the men’s Nordic combined also in Trondheim, World Cup leader Johannes Lamparter was second in the jumps but completed the cross country portion in 23:30.6 minutes to claim victory.The Austrian has been having a strong winter, with four wins in five events so far.His team-mate Franz-Josef Rehrl was second and German Julian Schmid was third.
