At 6-3/210, he is more of an athlete than he is a specific position player. He plays just about every position for his high school team, and the competition level can make it tough to get a read on what position he is best at. The Cards plan to play him at linebacker or edge in Ron English’s scheme. Adams is a legit athlete who could thrive once he gets specific development at one position. If he fits at one of the inside linebacker spots, he should be able to excel on the weakside, where he can run down plays in the run game and drop into coverage, where he would see more slot receivers. As an edge player, his speed would help him as a pass rusher as he develops pass-rushing moves and puts on weight to handle blockers better. It’s always a red flag when a prospect doesn’t hold many offers, but Adams had some interest from Florida State. Offers are all that matter, but Adams could carve out a role and develop with some investment from the staff.
