No. 1 seed Kentucky volleyball kicked off its NCAA Tournament run with a dominant 3-0 sweep of Wofford on Wednesday at Historic Memorial Coliseum. Riding a 22-match win streak and an undefeated SEC season, the Wildcats showed why they’re a top contender for another national championship.Kentucky took control early in the first set, winning 25-11. Eva Hudson led the charge with five kills, while Brooklyn DeLeye, Lizzie Carr, Brooke Bultema, and Asia Thigpen all contributed, showing the depth of the roster. The Wildcats ended the frame on a 4-0 run to set the tone for the match.The second set proved more competitive, with 13 ties and multiple lead changes. Kentucky eventually pulled away, winning 25-19 behind nine kills from Brooklyn DeLeye. Kentucky dominated the third set, 25-12, to complete the sweep.With the win, the Wildcats advance to the second round and will face No. 8 seed UCLA on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. ET back at Memorial Coliseum.
