Nebraska women’s basketball (8-0) returned home to start December, welcoming Bradley (4-4) to Lincoln for a Wednesday night showdown. After a close first quarter, the Huskers blew open their lead, taking a massive 92-53 victory over the Braves.Bradley and Nebraska started close with each other, trading blows in a low-scoring exchange during the first four minutes after tipoff. The Huskers went up by 10 in the first quarter, but they truly took off in the second and headed into halftime up 48-28. Nebraska kept its foot on the gas from there, outscoring the Braves 44-25 in the second half.The Huskers controlled the game, shooting 37-of-66 from the floor, scoring 56 points in the paint, earning 24 points off turnovers and outrebounding Bradley 48-25. The Braves finished 20-of-61 from the floor and suffered 21 fouls and 17 turnovers. Britt Prince scored a team-high 17 points for Nebraska, shooting 7-of-9 from the floor and 2-of-3 from three-point range. She also earned five assists and four rebounds. Jessica Petrie grabbed her first double-double of the season, scoring 15 points and snatching a team-high 10 rebounds. Amiah Hargrove finished with 13 points, landing 5-of-8 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the free throw line. She also hauled in six rebounds. Petra Bozan scored 12 points, shooting 6-of-8 from the floor and securing nine rebounds to be just shy of a double-double. Logan Nissley rounded out the Huskers’ double-digit scorers, tallying 10 on the night after shooting 3-of-6 from the floor, 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. She also earned a team-high seven assists. Nebraska hits the road for its next match, traveling to Penn State on Saturday for its first Big Ten clash of the season.
