Every week in college football is a chance for players to prove they belong in college and can take the next step to the NFL. That is the reality of playing in college — every Saturday has the opportunity to make or break your NFL future.Luckily, the Oregon Ducks don’t typically have to worry about that as they’ve become one of the premiere programs in the nation in recent years. They had 10 players selected to the pros this past April and have been among the college teams with the most players drafted over the last several years.These players have every role imaginable from faces of the franchises, to stars and role players, showcasing the developmental excellence taking place in Eugene. The Ducksare expected to have another wave of young men enter the draft next year as well, but before they do, let’s take a look at how the current NFL Ducks performed in Week 5.Bo Nix — Denver BroncosGame Stats: 29/45, 321 yards, 1 TD, 1 INTNix had one of his best of the season on Sunday night. He finally put it all together, and although he had a bad turnover, he still excellent against a feisty Washington team. Troy Franklin — Denver BroncosGame Stats: 2 catches, 21 yardsFranklin was relatively quiet during Nix’s tremendous performance. He only registered two catches for 21 yards, but the Broncos won despite his low-profile game.Deommodore Lenoir — San Francisco 49ersGame Stats: 4 tacklesLenoir had a great day in coverage today. He didn’t have his typical impact in the run game, but he and the 49ers defense gave up just over 100 yards passing today, which is excellent production.Juwan Johnson — New Orleans SaintsGame Stats: 5 catches, 39 yardsThe Saints couldn’t get much going on offense today, but it didn’t stop Johnson from being productive. It wasn’t his greatest game, but he still contributed nicely.Jevon Holland — New York GiantsGame Stats: 5 tacklesHolland was great in run support, but he struggled like many other defenders do against Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.Tez Johnson — Tampa Bay BuccaneersGame Stats: 1 catch, 5 yardsJohnson was unusually quiet in Tampa Bay’s win on Sunday, but luckily the slack was picked up by some other wide receivers.Justin Herbert — Los Angeles ChargersGame Stats: 15/20, 151 yards, 2 TD, 1 INTIt was a pretty good game for Herbert. He didn’t need to be special, he just needed to get his team across the finish line, and that’s exactly what he did. However, the larger concern is a broken bone that he suffered during the game, which could sideline him going forward.Troy Dye — Los Angeles ChargersGame Stats: 1 PDSunday was an unusually quiet day for Dye, who failed to register a tackle for the first time all season. Perhaps he is still recovering from his injury.Penei Sewell — Detroit LionsGame Stats: 57 snapsIt wasn’t all peaches and cream for Sewell this week. Jared Goff was sacked three times and the run game struggled, but the mammoth offensive lineman played his part still.Christian Gonzalez — New England PatriotsGame Stats: 3 tackles, 1 PDGonzalez continues to stake his claim as one of the best cornerbacks of this generation. He allows absolutely nothing in pass coverage.Brandon Dorlus — Atlanta FalconsGame Stats: 1 tackleDorlus has been steadily improving this season, but he took a step back this week. He was nearly nonexistent in Atlanta’s loss.Evan Williams — Green Bay PackersGame Stats: 8 tacklesWilliams is playing on another planet this season. It’s evident because this is one of his worse games this season, and it would be the best game of many other players’ seasons.Jordan Burch — Arizona CardinalsGame Stats: 1 tackleBurch has been enjoying a great season up to this point, but he was extremely quiet on Sunday. The Cardinals’ defense was solid overall, but they don’t receive much help from Burch.Bucky Irving — Tampa Bay BuccaneersGame Stats: 17 carries, 61 yards, 1 TD, 2 catches, 20 yardsIrving finally returned to the field after two months away from the game with an injury.
