South Bay Lakers recap: Lakers end losing skid thanks to Kobe Bufkin

The South Bay Lakers looked to rectify a three-game losing streak in Oregon when they took on the Rip City Remix on Sunday. They definitely got back on track, especially on the offensive end of the floor.They were in the lead for almost the entire game, thanks in large part to the fact that they scored at least 33 points in each quarter. Rip City took a very brief 123-122 lead with 2:35 left in the fourth quarter, but the Lakers surged afterward and claimed a 141-130 win.They shot 56.5% from the field and 41.7% from 3-point range for the game, and they were powered by Kobe Bufkin, who erupted for 42 points on just 20 shot attempts, to go along with six rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block. Guard R.J. Davis scored 23 points, dished off seven assists and added four rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while Tevian Jones contributed 20 points on 7-of-9 field-goal shooting off the bench.For Rip City, Blake Hinson, a rookie forward, put up 35 points and knocked in nine 3-pointers.
