For the second straight season in a row, Nashville Christian (Tenn.) wins the TSSAA Class A, Division II state champions. Vanderbilt signee Jared Curtis accounted for nearly a half dozen touchdowns as he led the Eagles to a 59-7 rout of University School Of Jackson at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga on Thursday afternoon. Nashville Christian (13-0) opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game as Curtis scored on a short touchdown run. It wouldn’t be too long later until the flood gates began to flow as the Eagles began finding the endzone almost at will in the first half. Running back TJ Ward showed off his wheels to the crowd on hand in the first half, accounting for three touchdown runs as the Eagles raced off to the insurmountable lead. Nashville Christian went practically unchallenged throughout the postseason as the Eagles out-scored their opponents by a combined 142-28 in three games played.
