Everyone loves a good Prime Time game, let alone one with so much on the line for both teams. Both the Rams and 49ers are currently sitting on the outside looking in for the playoffs, but a strong end to the season for either can easily catapult them back into contention.
At the time of this being written, the line currently favors San Francisco at a -3 spread with a -142 Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook. Coming off a HUGE win against Buffalo last week, it appears that the public is leaning the Rams once again this week with 62% of the Bets and 51% of the Handle coming in on the Rams (Via BetKarma)
Even with some question marks on the injury side of San Francisco, I’m going to back the 49ers tonight in what is essentially a must win situation for their playoff hopes. Not only is this a must win, but it’s a great redemption spot for the 49ers coming off their loss to the Rams earlier this season. Although the Rams have the power on offense to put up high flying #’s, I do believe they will regress to the mean a bit tonight after dropping 44 on a high-power Buffalo team.
VIP is coming off a TERRIBLE bad beat on the Cowboys +5.5 Monday night, so we’re not going to mess around with the points here on a short spread. It’s time to back one of my least favorite QBs in the league tonight and take the home team in what should be a thrilling matchup. Although I expect both teams to put up points tonight, I’m anticipating the 49ers defense to pick up a few key stops throughout the game and allow Purdy & Co. to squeak this one out.
