Seahawks draft Jaxon Smith-Njigba complement in latest 2026 mock draft

The Seattle Seahawks have been explosive at the wide receiver position this season. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been the most productive wideout in the league. Veteran addition Cooper Kupp is making an impact, Rashid Shaheed was acquired via trade at the deadline, and rookie Tory Horton has occasionally flashed, too. That didn’t stop The Athletic’s Dane Brugler from giving the Seahawks another receiver in his first NFL mock draft of the 2026 cycle. With the No. 28 overall selection, Brugler has the Seahawks drafting University of Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell.Mock Draft 1.0🏈Browns, Raiders get aggressive to land QBs🏈Steelers’ best-case scenario if they want a QB?🏈Buckeyes match the record for most top-20 picks🏈Cowboys go defense, defense w/ both 1stshttps://t.co/7r5FuJA9Ru— Dane Brugler (@dpbrugler) December 3, 2025″Jaxon Smith-Njigba has separated himself as one of the NFL’s best players, but the long-term health of Seattle’s wide receiver depth chart is very unsettled,” Brugler wrote. “At 6-2, 225 with 4.4 speed, Bell is a big-bodied target with exciting run-after-catch skills that will speak directly to general manager John Schneider. His best football is still ahead of him.”That is an interesting analysis. Perhaps Brugler sees Kupp as a potential cut candidate given the size of his contract. Elsewhere, Shaheed is on an expiring contract, and Horton hasn’t been consistently healthy throughout his rookie season. If Kupp and/or Shaheed don’t return next season, then the Seahawks could be in the market for a first-round wide receiver to complement Smith-Njigba.This article originally appeared on Seahawks Wire: Seahawks draft Jaxon Smith-Njigba complement in latest 2026 mock draft
