The award is designated for FBS’ top offensive player who also incorporates traits associated with the award’s namesake, former Texas running back and NFL legend Earl Campbell, such as integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity. It’s reserved for players with Texas-based school roots.
